We've made it to Guangzhou! The flights and layovers totaled around 25 hours and we are tired (who would've thought?). Also on our flights were our friends the Railsbacks and the Smiths and we were able to sit in close proximity to them on all the flights. The flight to Hong Kong is soooooooo long: 14.5 hours. The Garden Hotel, where we are staying for the two weeks, is lavish and beautiful. Our suite is pretty much the size of a one bedroom apartment.
Today we get and meet our new son Hudson! We are up early as our minds are running at full speed wondering what today will be like. With the help of an Ipod translation app we are tying to memorize a few key phrases in Chinese: "I am your papa", "you are my son" and "there is nothing like a good hamburger".
What a big day lies before us. Today we will have a son.
